Want Free Traffic To Your Website? Build Back-Links!

As an Internet marketer, back-links are an important aspect of your overall
web marketing plan, and social power linking can boost your traffic to levels you
might not have imagined. A well thought-out link building strategy will allow you
to develop quality back-links that can boost your page rank with Google and
drive a steady stream of traffic to your website… IF… it’s done right.

Back links are incoming links at other sites that lead to your site. They are
one of the most important elements in the search engine optimization process.
Search engines determine the importance of your website based on the quality
of the back links that are coming into your site. Your link popularity indicates how
many websites are linking to yours and you can check your site’s link popularity
with a free tool.

If you have a large number of links coming into your site from related or
complementary websites that carry a high search engine ranking, then your
website will automatically rank high with the search engines as well.

Here are elements that will play a key role in developing your linking strategy:

- The quality of your links
- The anchor text in these links
- The total number of links
- The quality of content on the page that has these links
- The number of outbound links on the page
- The page rank of the page your link is on

Search engines want to see lots of natural incoming links to your website.
But how do you get webmasters to want to link to your site? Reciprocal links or
a link exchange with other sites won’t create the effect you’re looking for. What
you need are productive “one-way” links in order to satisfy the search engines
and boost your ranking.

There are several methods you can use to get one way links. To attempt
to cover them here is beyond the scope of this article. However, here are two
good ways to go about getting those coveted one-way links:

1. Publish articles, tips and cheat-sheets based on what customers want or
need. But this will have to be good material for your target market to
want to link to you.

2. Add special reports or guides to your website that address a specific need.

But rather than endure the time-consuming process of building your links
manually, you can invest in an easy to use link-building tutorial to generate scores
of one-way links to your website by following just a few instructions. If you would
like to see a dramatic increase in your websites’ traffic right away, do it right now.

In the meantime, let’s go ahead and take a closer look at one of the other
link-building techniques mentioned above, “Publishing Articles”. This method isn’t
sexy, and it will take a bit of time, but it has teeth.

Just as search engines look favorably upon inbound links, they’re also wild
about good quality content. When you write keyword-rich articles, and submit them
to websites and article directories, the resource box where you include a link to your
website becomes an “in-bound link”. These links can bring lots of traffic to your
site, give you many inbound links, and improve your ranking with the search
engines.

That’s quite a lot of bang for your buck for writing just one useful article. The
key thing here is to distribute your articles to hundreds, even thousands of sites and
directories. To get this done in a timely manner, you’ll need to use an automation
tool or submission service.

An article submission service would be the most efficient. I use Article Marketer.
Submit your article to them and they distribute it to 5,000 directories and article-based
websites for you within 48-hours. Here’s a list of the article directories and sites they
distribute to.

Now, if you’re feeling nervous about writing articles, or think it’s something
you can’t do, don’t worry, in my next blog post I’ll cover “Article Writing-101″.
I’ll show you shortcuts for writing quality articles, give you a nifty article writing
template, and introduce you to a useful automation tool that can enable you to
write a powerful, 800-1000 word article in less than half an hour. I’ll also explain
anchor text and how to set it up in your articles to maximize the effectiveness
of your back-links.

To your success,
